An amateur dramatic group operating for over 40 years, raising money for local and distant charitable causes.
Hathersage Players approached me as they wanted an upgraded website as their existing one was outdated. They also wanted a new logo so they could create a recognisable brand identity in their local village of Hathersage. One of the requirements was that they needed to update the website regularly with new productions.
I created Hathersage Players a simple logo that incorporated the theatre mask and prominently displayed the group's name. I designed the website and met with Hathersage Players to review it against their requirements. During this meeting, we changed various aspects of the design so it better matched the player's identity.
The website was then built from the ground up with testing taking place as development progressed. The client was regularly updated on progress and they were able to use a prototype version as it was being built. As per Hathersage Players requirements I built the website with an admin section so new and previous productions can be created and edited.
Since it's launch the website had helped Hathersage Players to continue hosting sell-out performances for their local community. The website is visited regularly every day and is not only used for advertising production but for recruiting new members. The website's also easy to find appearing as the top result in Google when searching for Hathersage Players.
