What this policy covers

This policy covers personal information processed by Moon Pixels Ltd when you:

  • visit this website;
  • contact Moon Pixels about a project;
  • work with Moon Pixels as a client, supplier or professional contact;
  • appear in business records, correspondence, contracts, invoices or project administration.

Where Moon Pixels processes personal data inside a client’s own systems as part of client work, the signed contract or statement of work covers the detail. That usually depends on the client, the system, the data involved and the agreed tools.

Information we collect

You may provide your name, email address, company details, role, phone number, project information, billing details, contract details, correspondence and any other information you choose to send.

This website may also process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device details, request metadata and error logs.

Forms on this website may be protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It helps check whether a submission is from a person rather than automated abuse. For that check, Cloudflare may process technical signals such as IP address, browser and device information, and request metadata. Cloudflare explains this in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

The website uses cookie-less analytics to understand traffic in aggregate. Moon Pixels does not use advertising cookies or marketing pixels, and does not sell personal information.

Why we use personal information

Moon Pixels uses personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries;
  • discuss, quote for and provide services;
  • manage contracts, projects, invoices and business records;
  • operate, secure and improve this website;
  • meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations;
  • protect Moon Pixels’ rights, systems and commercial interests.

The lawful basis will usually be contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or a combination of these. The legitimate interests are running a small UK consultancy, communicating with clients and potential clients, keeping proper business records, improving the website and protecting systems from misuse.

Who we share information with

Moon Pixels only shares personal information where needed, such as with:

  • hosting, analytics, email, security and business administration providers;
  • accountants, insurers, legal advisers and other professional advisers;
  • banks, payment providers, tax authorities, regulators or courts where required;
  • client-approved project tools and collaborators where needed for the engagement.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, Moon Pixels uses appropriate safeguards or works with providers that put those safeguards in place.

How long we keep information

Moon Pixels keeps personal information only for as long as needed for the reason it was collected.

  • Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable business records.
  • Client, supplier, contract, invoice and accounting records are usually kept for up to 7 years.
  • Project correspondence and records are kept for as long as needed to provide the services, resolve issues, maintain handover records and protect legal or commercial interests.
  • Website technical logs are kept for limited operational and security periods.
  • Analytics information is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.

Your rights

You may have rights under UK data protection law, including rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing and request portability of your personal information. The rights available depend on the data and the lawful basis for using it.

You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To make a request, email hello@moonpixels.co.uk.

If you have a privacy concern, please contact Moon Pixels first so I can try to resolve it.
