How much does a freelance Laravel developer cost in the UK?

See how my pricing works, what different project lengths might cost, and when hiring me as a contractor makes more sense than a permanent hire.

Rates

My contractor rate is £60 per hour

I charge £60 per hour. A standard working day is eight hours, so one day costs £480. The minimum engagement is one day. That is the smallest practical booking, not a promise that every task can be finished in a day.

The advantage of hiring me as a contractor is that you can book senior developer help in clear blocks, without committing to a full-time hire before you know how much work there really is. That can be cheaper than hiring a full-time developer when you need a focused project delivered, an inherited app stabilised, or senior cover for a defined period.

Repeat contract work can also grow into a longer relationship. Once I understand your codebase, team, and priorities, future blocks of work can move faster because we are not starting from scratch each time.
